(September 12, 2017) ITRC is pleased to announce two brand new teams starting in January 2018: Optimizing In Situ Remediation Performance & Injection Strategies and Implementing the Use of Advanced Site Characterization Tools.

The Optimizing In Situ Remediation Performance & Injection Strategies Team will focus on addressing the risks, limits, and lack of information on the use of injection-based technologies and improving their successful use. The Implementing the Use of Advanced Site Characterization Tools Team will analyze advanced tools in computing and characterization for their use at a variety of sites.

State staff interested in becoming a Co-Team Leader for either new team should indicate their interest to ITRC Director, Patricia Reyes, at preyes@ecos.org no later than September 22nd, 2017. Interviews for the Team Leader positions will be conducted by the ITRC Board in early October 2017.

Team member registration for all of the 2018 teams will start in early December 2017. The 2018 teams will include:

  • Evaluation of Innovative Methane Detection Technologies*
  • LNAPL Update*
  • PFAS*
  • Quality Considerations for Multiple Aspects of Munitions Response Sites*
  • Stormwater BMP Performance Evaluation*
  • TPH Risk Evaluation at Petroleum-Contaminated Sites*
  • Optimizing In Situ Remediation Performance & Injection Strategies
  • Implementing the Use of Advanced Site Characterization Tools

*Industry Affiliates Program (IAP) Registration fees will apply to 2017 and 2018 for companies interested in joining now.
