(December 13, 2018) On behalf of the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC), we cordially invite you to attend our 2019 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held on March 25-28, 2019 at the Boston Park Plaza in Boston, MA, and is open to everyone.
The 2019 Annual Meeting is the only time that all ITRC members convene to promote best environmental practices and further the work of the organization. For the last three years, we have hosted nearly 400 environmental professionals from state environmental agencies; U.S. EPA, U.S. DOE, U.S. DOD, and other federal agencies; industry; and NGOs. This year's theme, Stewards of Environmental Innovation, will focus on leading the environmental community towards adopting innovative environmental technologies and processes.
We expect ITRC Team participation to be high this year as we look at new topics: 1,4-Dioxane, Harmful Cyanobacterial Blooms (HCBs), and Incremental Sampling Methodology (ISM). We also will continue our three large Teams from last year: PFAS, Implementing the Use of Advanced Site Characterization Tools, and Optimizing In Situ Remediation Performance & Injection Strategies.
Meeting activities include:
- Work Sessions for six 2019 ITRC Teams
- Keynote presentations at a Plenary breakfast by invited guests and ITRC updates by the Director and Board Co-Chairs (Wednesday, March 27)
- Opportunities to network with the environmental community, including: no-host member evening gathering (March 26), morning meet- and-greet for new and non-members (March 27), and various coffee breaks throughout the week.
- Optional 6-hour ITRC PFAS Training to be held on March 29 (separate registration here)
To register for the meeting online or access additional information about the Annual Meeting, including the preliminary agenda, please visit https://www.itrcweb.org/Meetings/Upcoming. The special ITRC hotel block rate of $219/night at the Boston Park Plaza is available until Monday, March 4, 2019 or until sellout of the room block (whichever comes first). Please note that the ITRC block rate is considerable lower than the federal per diem rate of $273.
We look forward to seeing you in Boston for a productive and celebratory meeting!
