ITRC Travels to Sacramento

(November 7, 2018) The PFAS Team conducted its second successful training class on Sunday, November 4 in Sacramento, California!

Approximately 70 professionals attended the four-hour PFAS short course, which was held in partnership with the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC). The short course went over various topics related to PFAS, including site characterization, sampling, risk assessment, and treatment technologies. Representatives from California’s Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) delivered the opening remarks and discussed PFAS issues within California.

At SETAC’s 39th Annual Meeting on Tuesday, the PFAS Team displayed their poster and talked about ITRC’s fact sheets, upcoming trainings, and future work. Through the dedication of our ITRC members, we are able to connect with environmental regulators and professionals nationwide!
