Project Start: January 2027
The team will supplement existing background guidance and literature to help environmental professionals evaluate anthropogenic background PFAS concentrations and distinguish them from site-related releases. The team will review best practices, sampling and analysis approaches, data interpretation, source evaluation, and application of background information to consider implications on site management decisions.
