Current Project Teams

ITRC Project Teams fulfill our Mission: Developing innovative products to provide the knowledge and skills to address environmental challenges.

Joining a Project Team is easy and membership is free to any government employee in the U.S. and around the world, academics, and public stakeholders. Private sector employees may also participate by joining our Industry Affiliates Program. ITRC Membership and Project Team participation provides opportunities to learn from and work alongside diverse environmental professionals on current environmental challenges, co-author new guidance documents, and develop and deliver educational and training resources.

Project Initiation (Open to New Members)

We’re laying the groundwork for the entire project during this phase starting with project marketing and recruiting members to the team. The Team is also defining and finalizing project plans including the scope and expected deliverables.

Project Development (Membership Still Open)

The Team is on its way to developing its deliverables, which may include guidance documents, Focus Sheets, and other materials. Research and writing is happening, the Team is meeting in-person and virtually, and draft products are being reviewed through a series of internal and public external reviews. The Team is also starting to prepare for training.

Product Use & Education

The Team is finalizing their written guidance documents, Focus Sheets, and other materials and focusing on developing educational deliverables such as internet-based training, in-person workshops, and videos.
