(May 5, 2017) Sara Pearson (Michigan Department of Environmental Quality) will be the new Training Program Coordinator, responsible for the overall coordination of ITRC's Training Program. Sara is currently the Point of Contact for Michigan, a role in which she received the State Engagement Award for Outstanding Performance this year.
Naji Akladiss (Maine Department of Environmental Protection) will become the new At-Large State Representative, responsible for leading special committees or projects at the ITRC Board of Advisors' request. Naji has served as the state Point of Contact for Maine, Team Leader for the Integrated DNAPLs Site Strategy Team, and is currently co-Team Leader of the Characterization and Remediation in Fractured Rock Team.
Richard Spiese (Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation), current At-Large Board member will move to the Team Leader Liaison position. Richard will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of ITRC Technical Teams by working with team leaders to confirm that their activities align with ITRC priorities and mission, and ensuring the quality of ITRC team products.
