Regulatory Guidance for Permeable Reactive Barriers Designed to Remediate Inorganic and Radionuclide Contamination (PRB-3, 1999) addresses regulatory requirements for permeable reactive barriers (PRBs) and aims to build consensus on those requirements. The guidance contains sections dealing with site characterization, modeling, permitting, construction, monitoring, waste management, maintenance, closure, health and safety, and stakeholder concerns. It also provides examples and current applications where permeable reactive barriers have been, or will be, installed.
