(Archived as of December 2024) – The ITRC QUEST Knowledge Map was an interactive tool for navigating ITRC’s environmental guidance documents and resources, allowing users to filter through ITRC’s vast library based on concise subjects. The Knowledge Map presented a “roadmap” of where to find key environmental topic and concept information within the ITRC guidance and resources library, and is organized by the Assessment and Remediation phases of environmental cleanups.

This toolkit includes outreach resources, fact sheets, presentations, and other materials designed to help communicate information about microplastics to a variety of audiences.

This training site builds upon the information presented in three ITRC Guidance Documents: Light Non-Aqueous Phase Liquid (LNAPL), Petroleum Vapor Intrusion (PVI), and Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) Risk Evaluation.

This document includes a brief overview of risk communication, the steps in developing a communication plan and stakeholder outreach activities, an overview of risk communication concepts, applies these principles in case studies, and includes various tools to facilitate risk communication plan development.
