2010 ITRC Spring Meeting

ITRC’s 2010 Spring Membership Meeting was held April 19–23 in Austin, Texas.

The meeting provided networking and professional development opportunities through participation in round-robin technical sessions on ITRC project content. This enabled members to not only contribute to or learn from their own team, but to discover more about what innovative strategies other teams are pursuing for 2010 and beyond. In addition, this meeting provided an opportunity for attendees to:

  • Meet with technical team members on all 2010 ITRC Teams, including the following:
    • Attenuation Processes for Metals and Radionuclides
    • Biochemical Reactors to Treat Mining-Influenced Water
    • Biofuels
    • Contaminated Sediments – Remediation
    • Environmental Molecular Diagnostics
    • Green and Sustainable Remediation
    • Groundwater Statistics and Monitoring Compliance
    • Integrated DNAPL Site Strategy
    • Incremental Sampling Methodology
    • Mining Waste
    • Remediation Risk Management
    • Stabilization/Solidification
    • Unexploded Ordnance: Wide Area Assessment
  • Learn about proposal topics ITRC is considering funding in 2011 through a poster session
  • Understand ITRC direction through discussions with ITRC’s Board of Advisors and Director, and
  • Expand their network within the environmental community by participating in networking sessions provided throughout the meeting.
