ITRC’s 2013 Spring Meeting was held April 29 – May 3, 2013 in Montgomery, AL.
The ITRC 2013 Spring Meeting offered a unique forum for collaborative engagement on environmental challenges. The meeting was open to environmental professionals nationwide who are interested in learning about the innovative work undertaken by ITRC’s project teams. This meeting had a plenary session which featured updates from ITRC’s leadership along with round-robin technical and implementation sessions designed to help ITRC teams and others understand regulatory or technical challenges and potential implementation issues. Four project teams were featured during the round-robin technical and implementation sessions:
- DNAPL Site Characterization (Technical Session)
- Geophysical Classification for Munitions Response (Technical Session)
- Risk Assessment (Technical Session)
- Environmental Molecular Diagnostics (Implementation Session)
The reception on Tuesday provided opportunities for meeting attendees to network. Three teams gave updates on their activities and progress:
- Biochemical Reactors for Mining-Influenced Water
- Contaminated Sediments Remediation
- Groundwater Statistics and Monitoring
